Bantenese are the indigenous people inhabiting the former Sultanate of Banten territory outside Parahyangan, Cirebon and Jakarta.

Anyer is a beach town in Banten. It is located at Anyer, 38 km from Serang City.

The beach is facing the West, so we can see the view of Mountain Rakata (child of Mountain Krakatau that exploded in 1833) and the sunset.

In 2016, The price of admission to the Anyer Beach for Rp 25.000 /person


A beautiful sea sight with all activities such as Jet Ski, Speed Boat, Para Sailing and other aquatic sport, those types of activities can be found here, as well as sunset view from the beach and an old lighthouse at Cikoneng.

Golok Ciomas(sabre)

Golok Ciomas can only be found in an area called Ciomas, Serang, Banten, and the price around Rp 3.000.000

Badui's house

Badui traditional house is a typical residential community Banten, Central Java. But to build this house should not be arbitrary because there is a belief that an ancestor of his philosophy .
Badui's house  have an architecture ventakular. All of residential Badui always facing north or south and the line of sight to the west and east should not be according to the Badui's tradition . House of Badui is  the knock down and ready to use . One of uniqueness Badui's house that are earthquake-resistant because the building are flexible and elastic.
Roof  of  Badui's house  called NYANDA. The roof  is generally the same as any other roof but the difference is on the roof, there are curungan. Curungan is one of the lower roof and has splay .The house also has only one door that is pato, and then the pato doors are made of woven bamboo blades and a thumb-sized woven in vertical.
Interior divided into 3 chambers which Sosoro, Tepas, and Imah. Sosoro the place to receive guest and elongated shapes.
Tepas is room for eating and sleeping children . Between Tepas sosoro and there is no barrier. Part of house is situated on the imah is a kitchen, but also to the bed husband and wife.

Gerem Asem

Gerem Asem came from East Serang, Banten. Gerem Asem has a distinctive flavor that is spicy, salty and sour flavors. Gerem Asem is based chicken or duck.

How to make Gerem Asem:

Ingredients:
* 1 whole duck or chicken
* 1/4 kg Cengek
* 1/4 kg Onion
* Asem Campaluk sufficiently
* Salt sufficiently
* Vegetable oil sufficiently
* Leaves greeting / lemongrass
* Brown sugar sufficiently

How to cut the duck:
1. Cut as usual, bake until the exit at the fat.
2. Part of tunggir discarded because this section will cause the musty odor.

How to cook:
1. Mashed the seasoning duck with herbs and mixed it.
2. Cook without water for 7 minutes. After 7 minutes pour enough water, pour again until the meat is tender.

Sate Bandeng

Sate Bandeng is a typical food mostly found in Serang, Banten and has a salty taste.
This fish was introduced by the cook Kingdom of Banten in the 16th century to entertain the royal guests. Because fish has many thorns so difficult when consumed, the cook serves a fish in a different way in order to be consumed without difficulty when eating, so that creates the sate and is still popular today.
The price of Sate Bandeng only Rp 35,000.

How to make Sate Bandeng:

Ingredients:
*2 Bandeng fish (each 600 g)
*50 grams of coarsely grated coconut, roasted
*1/2 teaspoon salt 
*1/2 teaspoon sugar 
*1/2 teaspoon sour water 
*2 eggs, beaten off
*100 ml coconut milk
*2 tablespoons oil for sauteing
*Banana leaves to wrap
*Bamboo to clamp

Ground spices:
*3 pieces of red pepper curls
*1 teaspoon coriander
*1/4 teaspoon cumin
*1 cm ginger
*1 cm galangal
*2 cm turmeric, burned
*8 red onions
*4 cloves garlic

Processing Method:
1. Break and remove the tail bone.
2. Take 370 grams of flesh with a spoon. Roasted the meat to dry, separate thorns.
3. Heat the oil. Stir-fry the spices until fragrant.
4. Add the bandeng fish, toasted coconut, salt, sugar, and acid water. Stir well.
5. Add the eggs and coconut milk. Stir well.
6. Take a little dough. Set aside. For the second part of the dough.
7. Enter each dough into the bandeng's skin.
8. Shape back. Pinch milk with spices. 
9. Wrap with banana leaf. Bake until cooked.
10. Brush the remaining seasoning. Grilled again while inverted until cooked.

Jojorong


Jojorong is traditional food from Lebak regency, Banten. 

It is made from rice flour cooked with coconut milk. 
The taste of Jojorong is creamy, sweet and savory.
The sweet taste is dominant to replace the energy lost during fasting.
The price is really cheap, only Rp. 1000,- per piece.


How to make Jojorong:

Ingredients:
• ½ ounce of starch 
• 2 ounces of rice flour 
• ½ ounce brown sugar, shaved 
• 50 cc of water and pandan leaves 
• 750 cc coconut milk diluted 
• 1 tbs salt 

Topping:
• 2 tbsp cornflour 
• 200 cc coconut milk

How to make : 
1. Pour and mix the rice flour, starch, salt and water of pandan leaves until completely mixed evenly. 
2. Provide small plastic bowl or banana leaves. 
3. Put the brown sugar and a bowl, then pour the material down to three quarters, then steam it until cooked. 
4. Mix the ingredients
5. After that pour the batter onto the pandan leaves. 
6. Then steam it again for 5 minutes.

Nasi Sumsum (Enur photoworks)
Nasi Sumsum or marrow rice is traditional food of Serang Banten. It is typical of rice combined with a distinctive flavor plus the marrow taste savory and steady. Wrapped in banana leaves and baked. It is served in bamboo plates and banana leaves with fresh sliced ​​tomato and cucumber. Color reddish rice with a line of savory aroma that would provoke appetite.

Nasi Sumsum has incredible aroma and taste. There are salty, savory and spicy flavor. There has never been as good and the taste of the rice before. 


You can find marrow rice in low price for about Rp 8000 in major portion.


How to make Nasi Sumsum:

Ingredients:

2 plate of white rice
6 pieces of veal shanks, steamed 
2 tbsp oil, for frying Banana leaves for wrapping seasoning 
8 red onions 
4 cloves garlic 
8 red chilies 
½ tsp pepper 
1 ½ tsp salt

Peanut sauce seasoning:
3 pieces of red chilies 
5 pieces of red chili sauce 
1 clove garlic 
50 grams fried peanuts 
1 tsp salt 
1 ½ tsp sugar 
200 ml of warm water 
1 lime, squeezed the water

How to make a Peanut sauce:
1. Puree the chilies and garlic.
2. Add the peanuts, salt, and sugar.
3. Add the warm water and lemon juice. Stir well.


How to make : 
1. Saute seasoning mashed until fragrant. 
2. Pour white rice. Cook until cooked and seasoning mix.
3. Lift, for six parts. Prepare banana leaves. Fill it with a piece of fried rice. Add the marrow in the middle. Wrap and hook both ends by a stick. 
4. Grill over coals until fragrant and the leaves black. 
5. Serve warm with peanut sauce.

The beach is located in the western part ofthe Pandeglang district and has an area of approximately 150 hectares. This area is proposed to Special Economic Zone since 2012

Tanjung Lesung been officially in operation since 23 February 2015. 

Generally this island for the tourist attractions, so most people working in this island resort, and some people work as fishermen, so development of the Tanjung Lesung are mainly focused on the activities of Tourism and Creative Economy.
