Bantenese are the indigenous people inhabiting the former Sultanate of Banten territory outside Parahyangan, Cirebon and Jakarta.
Since the 11th century until the 12th when the establishment of Sunda, in Banten has been no settlement.
This area is growing rapidly in the 16th century when Islam arrived first in the region, and they use a Banten's dialect.
